6/20/2019- Carlos Moore of The Cochran Firm Mississippi Delta and his client LaDarius Brown has announced an undisclosed settlement for an incident in 2017 where Mr. Brown was beaten while in handcuffs by officer Justin Roberts. The incident was caught on camera and picked up by several online news organizations. In the video, Officer Roberts can be seen attempting to knee and punch Mr. Brown, as well as slamming him against a trailer. Brown was not convicted of any crime and says that he is glad to have the situation behind him. The officer was found guilty of assault by a Hinds County judge in 2018.
