3/26/2019- The Cochran Firm Los Angeles, on behalf of the family of Sinuon Pream, was awarded a $9.8 million jury verdict after an eight-person jury found that officers acted with “malice and oppression.”  Pream (37), who suffered from mental health issues, was shot eight times by Long Beach police officers in 2017.  The coroner determined that the gunshot wounds entered the back of her body.  “We hope that this verdict will save lives and change the way that the officers in the Long Beach Police Department and other police departments respond to people that are suffering from mental illness,” said Brian Dunn, Managing Partner of The Cochran Firm Los Angeles.
