Cincinnati, Ohio 7/3/2020– When Nick Ballanchino was arrested for disorderly conduct on June 9th he had no idea he would soon be in the hospital receiving stitches and treatment for a concussion. While processing Ballanchino officers placed him in handcuffs and held him on the ground. According to the Hamilton County prosecutor Joe Deters’ office, Ballanchino became combative and allegedly bit an officer’s work boot. That is when officer Jesse Franklin reared back with his foot and kicked Ballanchino hard enough for his body to spin nearly a full quarter turn. Sheriff Jim Neal has stated, “As sheriff of Hamilton County, I am outraged and shocked by the egregious conduct. These actions are inconsistent with out training and will not be tolerated under my watch.”
