6/5/2019- On May 34, 2019 the Mississippi Attorney General’s office sent investigators to the Oxford Police Department to conduct an internal affairs investigation and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is looking into the death of Dominique Clayton.  More recently, the Oxford Board of Aldermen accepted the resignations of two police officers but did not give an explanation for the resignations. Mayor Robyn Tannehill claims that Chief Jeff McCutchen reached out to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation immediately upon hearing that an Oxford police officer might be involved with the death of Ms. Clayton.
