The Cochran Firm, D.C. Welcomes Three New Attorneys, Including Sandra H. Robinson, to its Medical Malpractice Section

The Cochran Firm, D.C. is very pleased to announce that Sandra H. Robinson has joined the firm as a Partner in the Medical Malpractice section. Additionally, Rabiah Abdullah has joined the office as an Associate practicing medical malpractice, and Tyler Cumbo will join the office as an Associate later this month working on personal injury and medical malpractice matters. 

Sandra H. Robinson is a veteran Plaintiff’s DC medical malpractice attorney.  She has worked tirelessly throughout her career to obtain just compensation for her clients in D.C. and Maryland.  Ms. Robinson is a past president of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. and served as President of the Women's Bar Association Foundation.  Additional prior leadership and service roles include President of the Public Justice Foundation, President of the Civil Justice Foundation, member of the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice, co-chair of the National Bar Association's Trial Advocacy Section, Program Coordinator of the National Association of Black Women Attorneys, and a Master in the Charlotte E. Ray American Inn of Court.  Ms. Robinson has received numerous honors and awards, including the TLA-DC Trial Lawyer of the Year Award, the TLA-DC Sandra H. Robinson Women’s Caucus Award, and the Washington Bar Association’s Ollie May Cooper Award.  She is consistently listed in Best Lawyers in America and as a Super Lawyer for Plaintiff’s Medical Malpractice.

Rabiah Abdullah is a graduate of The George Washington University Law School.  She began her legal career with a medical malpractice defense firm.  For the last 16 years she has represented injured clients and has also worked as a civil rights advocate, litigating local and federal claims based on race, ethnicity, gender, and police brutality.  At The Cochran Firm, D.C. she will focus her practice on Plaintiff’s medical malpractice claims. 

DC personal injury lawyer Tyler Cumbo is a native of Prince George’s County, Maryland, where she currently resides. She is a cum laude graduate of Hampton University, and a cum laude graduate of North Carolina Central University Law School.  She previously clerked for The Honorable DaNeeka Varner Cotton in the Prince George’s County Circuit Court.  She previously practiced with Andrews, Bongar, Gormley & Clagett, PA in Waldorf, MD representing injured individuals.
