Ridgeland, Mississippi 2/19/2019- Attorneys Derek Sells of The Cochran Firm New York and Carlos Moore of The Cochran Firm Mississippi Delta have teamed up to seek justice for the family of a man who died in custody at the Madison County Jail in May of 2018.  The victim, Harvey Hill, was allegedly beaten by guards while handcuffed, pepper-sprayed, and returned to his cell without proper medical treatment.  The Madison County Sheriff’s department is declining comment, but the County Coroner has said that he doesn’t know yet why Hill (36) died.  The coroner stated that the Mississippi crime lab has a months-long backlog because of a shortage of pathologists to complete autopsies.
