JoVanne graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. Thereafter, she attended Atlanta John Marshall Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2019.
While in law school, JoVanne competed in multiple Moot Court Competitions, where she placed first in the Southern Regional Frederick Douglas Moot Court Competition. Throughout her years following law school, JoVanne gained experience ranging from corporate law to workers’ compensation. Prior to joining The Cochran Firm Atlanta, she worked as an associate attorney at a fast-paced insurance defense firm, where she was able to learn the defense side of workers’ compensation. With this experience, JoVanne gained the knowledge and developed the passion to effectively advocate for people who sustain on the job injuries. She prioritizes communication with her clients and ensures that each case is provided with the attention to detail that they deserve.
In her free time, JoVanne enjoys volunteering in the community, travelling, working out, and spending quality time with friends and family.
