Ninties rapper, MC Supreme, best known for the hit song “Black in America,” was killed in a suspected DUI accident, according to Variety. Dewayne Lawrence Coleman (AKA MC Supreme) was sitting in his Honda Civic on the shoulder of Malibu’s Pacific Coast Highway when his car was struck by a pickup truck. Coleman was pronounced dead on the scene, which coincidentally is the same spot where Caitlyn Jenner was involved in a fatal car accident. Two lawsuits have been filed against her involving the accident.
Christopher Whitehead and Wade Jackson have both been chared in the triple fatal crash on Riverwatch Parkway, according to a report released by the Augusta Traffic Safety Division. The accident killed three young boys who were riding in one of the vehicles. Authorities say the accident occurred when Whitehead, driving about 67 miles an hour (20 over the speed limit) on Riverwatch Parkway towards I-20, ran a red light at the Stevens Creek intersection. Whitehead's truck crashed into Jackson, who was trying to turn left onto Steven's Creek in his Toyota Corolla. Investigators say both ran the light. Meanwhile, the community continues to mourn after 9-year-old Eric Jamal Simon-Smalls, 9-year-old Quamaine Jones, and 8-year-old John Powell.
The Florida Highway Patrol say a shark was killed when a truck carrying four of the big fish blew a tire and ran off Interstate 95. The four sharks were being driven from Florida to an aquarium in New York City. A SeaWorld rescue team member Jim Kinsler said the three other sharks are doing well.
When tragedy strikes, it is important to receive immediate medical care and legal advice. African Americans have historically received poorer medical treatment and lower legal settlements, so it is important that victims of trucking accidents have good legal representation.
